My GCSE Art Work

Plastic pollution is a growing environmental crisis, as millions of tons of plastic waste enter our oceans every year, threatening wildlife and disrupting ecosystems.  The widespread use of plastic, combined with its slow decomposition rate, has turned our planet into a vast landfill, harming both nature and human health .  Every piece of plastic ever created still exists in some form today, polluting our landscapes, waterways, and oceans, posing a lasting threat to future generations . this is why this topic was one of my favourites because its a very big impact on the world.

Sea Creatures

The red Acadian fish, with its vibrant crimson hue and sleek body, thrives in the cold, deep waters of the North Atlantic, making it a prized catch for fishermen.

The squid, with its soft, gelatinous body and ink-squirting defence mechanism, is a master of camouflage, blending seamlessly into the depths of the ocean. The North Atlantic right whale, one of the most endangered marine mammals, glides through the chilly waters of the Atlantic, its massive body and distinctive call marking it as a symbol of the ocean's fragile biodiversity.  I think that sea creatures are amazing but I also have a fear of deep ocean water.

Kerby Rosanes

Kirby Rosanes is a Filipino illustrator known for his intricate, hand-drawn illustrations that often blend elements of doodling and detailed line art. He gained widespread recognition through his "doodle art" style, where he combines whimsical, surreal, and sometimes intricate elements into his work. His illustrations often feature animals, objects, and landscapes that are filled with patterns and intricate details, creating a sense of depth and movement.

Rosanes's work has been showcased in various forms, including in books, for commercial clients, and in exhibitions. One of his most notable projects was "Doodle Invasion," a book that collects many of his detailed illustrations, and it garnered a lot of attention for its unique style and creativity. Kirby's ability to create these incredibly detailed, visually engaging works with just pen and ink has made him a favorite in the world of illustration.

What sets him apart is his ability to infuse a sense of storytelling into his art, where each illustration invites the viewer to explore it deeper and find hidden patterns or symbols within. His work feels almost like a visual journey that blends the real world with an imaginative, dreamlike space.
